I believe I had a word from the Lord today and I just wanted to share it with you. You might be asking…”How do you get a word from God?” Well first you have to be completely sinless and fall on your face in prayer and fasting for 3 days! JUST KIDDING! You wanna know how I get it? I ASK! Yep…it’s that simple and then just listen.
Anyway this is what I heard,
“My people – I have heard your prayers – I know things seem empty handed but they are so full (in the spirit realm): There is a harvest coming. Keep those empty hands in a position to receive. Just like Ruth had more than she ever needed dropped right in front of her, that’s what you will experience. But Ruth was where she needed to be. She showed up ready to work but also willing to rest at the feet of her Redeemer and willing to receive everything he graciously offered her. She was not too proud to walk behind the workers and gather what they dropped and she was humble enough obey her authority (her mother-in-law) to go and lay at the feet of her Redeemer and then receive everything he had to offer. – Learn a lesson from Ruth. Go where I tell you to go and do as the Holy Spirit says to do and you will find yourself with full hands overflowing so that you can be a blessing to others.”
When I receive a word from the Lord I always like to ask for a scripture to confirm it. I heard Ruth 1:5 so I looked it up and it just said, “both Mahlon and Kilion died. This left Naomi alone, without her two sons or her husband.” I thought about it and then listened for another verse lol, but the Lord said, “Read it again”. So I did and He showed me this… This verse points to Naomi being alone, widowed, & without children right? However, we don’t always consider that Ruth too was left widowed and without children. However, because Ruth was more concerned for her mother-in-law who lost BOTH her sons AND her husband, Ruth decided to put her own needs and desires aside and serve someone else in need instead. And would you believe that when she did this, her own needs and desires were met even more abundantly than she could have ever dreamed of?!
Yes, God is THAT good and He loves you THAT much!
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13
